Every memory has coordinates
About postaMap
postaMap turns a place and a moment into a poster. Pick a location, pick a date - for star maps, the exact minute too - and we render either the night sky as it genuinely stood over those coordinates, or a fine-line map of the streets around them. The result is printed with your own title, message, and the coordinates themselves.
Where the Data Comes From
Star maps are computed, not illustrated. Star positions come from public astronomical catalogs and are calculated for your exact latitude, longitude, date, and time - the same arithmetic planetarium software runs. Constellation lines, star magnitudes, and the Milky Way band all fall where they actually were that night.
City maps are drawn from OpenStreetMap, the open geographic database maintained by contributors worldwide. Streets, water, parks, and coastline are real geometry for the area you frame, not a stylised approximation. You choose how far in the map zooms and which visual theme it uses.
Both constructors preview live as you type, so what you approve at checkout is what gets printed.
What You Get
Every design comes two ways: an instant digital download, or a poster shipped rolled in a long cardboard box. The size options are the same for star maps and city maps, and both are chosen at the second step of the designer - the design itself never changes between them.
How We Work
Digital files are generated and emailed within minutes of checkout, anywhere in the world. Printed orders leave production in 1-2 business days and ship by USPS, tracked, within the United States - free as standard, or Priority Mail for $8. Payments are processed by Stripe - we never store card details. Delivery timelines are on our Delivery & Payment page, and our Cancellation and Refund policy explains what to do if something is not right with your order.
